The Tsugaru Shamisen Dois『HAZUKI』

~sowing seeds of sound in listener’s minds using six pieces of thread〜

by both Ko Takahashi and Misao Habu

[With regard to Ko Takahashi and Misao Habu]
 

◆They got to know each other at Aomori Japanese Folk Song Festival in August, 2011 and worked many times together afterwards.
◆Misao Habu achieved three crowns in the All-Japan Tsugaru Shamisen contest from 2012 through 2013.
◆Ko Takahashi won the victory in the All-Japan Tsugaru Shamisen contest held in Tokyo in April, 2001.He also appeared as a guest on the live concert which celebrates “Misao Habu’s All-Japan Tsugaru Shamisen Championship Winner.

Then he composed the works to represent her feelings of “ Genesis” and he got a favorable reception to announce the song.

…Habu believed in his works and Takahashi trusted her proficiency in musical skills, so they formed the Tsugaru Shamisen Dois‘ HAZUKI’.…

◆Following the Washington DC 54th Annual Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival of 2014, a continuous even in 2015 appeared.

◆Released the 1st mini album "Locus"at 2015 April.

He reached the top level in his twenties and won both the All-Japan Folk song tournament and the All-Japan Tsugaru Shamisen Contest.He inherited both Shogetsu Mori, the third schoolmaster of the Japanese folk song “Mori School” and Jyunichi Fujita, the second schoolmaster of the Tsugaru Shamisen “Fujita School” in 2003.In 2008 he made major debut produced by Kei Ogura, singer-songwriter starting in 2006. He is developing an activity in a variety of genre currently.

She started to learn both the Japanese Folk song and Tsugaru Shamisen at  the age of 5. She has also learned from Ryuji Goshiki, the schoolmaster of the Tsugaru Shamisen“Goshiki School”since the time of the 7-year- old. She got first prize at both the Tsugaru Shamisen contest in Osaka in 2012 and the Tsugaru Shamisen contest in Hibiya in 2013, finally she won the championship also held in the Aomori All- Japan No.1 tournament.  Now she continues to carry out musical performance activities at home and abroad.
